Two nights in the high-altitude ritual of Strawberry Park's natural hot springs — stone pools fed by geothermal water, clothing optional after dark, the sky so close you taste the stars. Days hiking the Routt National Forest trails above Steamboat; nights soaking in silence, skin steaming in the mountain air, the Milky Way reflected in the mineral water. Questions

Is it really clothing-optional?
Yes—after sunset, the pools are designated as such. Daytime is family-friendly and clothed; the transition happens at dusk, and it's entirely your choice. The ritual of shedding layers under stars is part of the story.
How do we get there from Denver?
Three hours northwest to Steamboat Springs, then 7 miles east to Strawberry Park. Drive up together, settle in by late afternoon, and have the evening pools to yourselves.
What if it snows?
Winter soaking is transcendent—hot water, cold air, snow falling on your shoulders. The springs stay open year-round; just bring robes and wool socks for the walk back to your cabin.
