Questions

Will altitude affect us?
Mauna Kea sits at 13,796 feet; the helicopter lands at the visitor station (9,200 ft) where oxygen is still thin but manageable. Arrive hydrated, move slowly, and descend if you feel lightheaded—the summit experience is worth the caution.
What's the manta ray snorkel really like?
You'll float in a wetsuit under underwater lights while these 12-foot creatures glide beneath you, utterly unbothered and graceful. It's meditative, not thrilling—a privilege to witness their feeding ritual in the dark.
Best time to book this?
March through May and September through November offer clearest skies at Mauna Kea and calmest ocean conditions for snorkeling. Avoid June-August (rainy) and December-February (rougher seas).
