Lake Powell Houseboat Weekend — Glen Canyon, AZ/UT

Destination: Page, AZ + Bullfrog, UTNights: 4Group: 612Season: May, June, September, OctoberEstimated: $1,900–$3,300 per person

A 75-foot Excursion houseboat charter out of Antelope Point — six staterooms, a hot tub on the upper deck, a slide off the back. Tuesday afternoon: anchor in a slot canyon off the main channel, paddleboards out into the slot at sunset where the red walls turn neon. Wednesday: an early kayak into Antelope Canyon's water side (the un-Instagrammed side), lunch on a sand-spit beach the bride picks. The night sky over Glen Canyon is one of the darkest in the lower 48 — dinner is on the upper deck under the Milky Way with prosciutto and figs. Decompression on Friday with a slow morning at Rainbow Bridge before the houseboat re-docks at Antelope Point.

Questions

Do we need a boating license?
No — a brief in-marina orientation covers it. The boats are slow (8 mph cruise) and forgiving. Most groups hire a captain for the first morning.
Best months?
May–June and September–October. Avoid July/August — lake water hits 80°F and there's zero shade. Avoid winter — many marinas close.
Closest airport?
Page, AZ (PGA) is 5 minutes from Antelope Point. Phoenix (PHX) is 4.5 hours by car. Las Vegas (LAS) is 4.5 hours. Some groups fly into St George, UT (SGU) and drive 2.5 hours.
