Three nights at Solage, an Auberge Resort at the north end of Napa Valley — the cottages are detached, the pool is geothermal, and the spa's signature is the Mudslide: a volcanic-ash mud bath, a thermal mineral-water soak, and a weightless after-massage. The bride's group books the Mudslide on Saturday morning (arrive by 8am, the bride leaves the spa walking like she's just returned from a week of rest). Lunch at SolBar (a Michelin-starred poolside California restaurant), an afternoon at Castello di Amorosa (the 13th-century-replica Tuscan castle vineyard) for a Brunello tasting. Saturday-night dinner at The French Laundry if the bride is having that kind of weekend, or Cole's Chop House in Napa if she prefers a steak. Sunday: a sunrise yoga at the Solage lawn, a hot-air balloon ride out of Calistoga at golden hour. Decompression on the cottage porch with a final magnum of Schramsberg before the drive to SFO.
