A Relais & Châteaux country inn in Warren with eleven themed rooms — Calvin Coolidge, Chester A. Arthur, the Stable Suite, the Mountain — each a different historical figure built into the woodwork and the wallpaper. The bridal party picks rooms by personality. 275 Main runs farm-to-table dinners with chef Jacob Ennis pulling local meat, cheese, and wild mushrooms. Day-one sleigh ride dinner to a covered bridge in winter, fly fishing in Manchester (90 minutes south) in summer or fall. Day-two Sugarbush ski five minutes up the road, or a hike up Mt. Ellen for fall foliage. Day three: a long brunch with the World Wine Dinner Series sommelier and a slow drive back to Burlington (BTV, 60 min) or Boston (BOS, 3 hours).

Questions

How are the themed rooms different?
Each is built around a historical figure or local story. Coolidge is the New England parlor; Arthur is the gilded library; the Mountain is the camp aesthetic. Tour the rooms before the trip and let the bridal party self-assign.
Best season?
Fall foliage (late September through mid-October) is the photo trip. Winter for skiing — Sugarbush is five minutes up the road. Spring shoulder rates run 25% off Sunday-Thursday.
Is the inn dog-friendly?
Yes — $75/night per dog. Mad River Valley generally is dog-country.
Group max?
11 rooms = 11 keys; the inn comfortably handles 14 guests at full booking with a few couples in suites. Buyout is the move for 14+.
