Both work. As an apex base, $1,200-3,000/night (the bridal party gets the Mosaic Pool + the gardens). As a day visit, $50-100/person for the gardens + a long lunch.
Ferry vs private boat?
Public ferry covers all the villages ($10-25/day pass). Private launch ($600-1,500 half-day) is the bride's apex moment — no schedule, no crowds, the wooden Riva-style boat for the photo.
Best month?
April-May for spring colors, September-October for fall + harvest. Avoid July-August (peak crowds, hot).
