Sleep at the Whistling Swan Inn (1887 historic, Fish Creek center). Day-one fish boil at the Old Post Office Restaurant in Ephraim (nightly May-October, kerosene flame fire-up at 7 p.m.). Day-two Eagle Bluff Lighthouse + Cana Island Lighthouse, Trout Springs Winery for the cherry-wine tasting. Day three: a Washington Island ferry day trip. Green Bay (GRB) is 90 minutes south.

Lighthouse access?
Eagle Bluff Lighthouse climb (Peninsula State Park) open mid-May to mid-October, $4 entry. Cana Island Lighthouse (causeway access) $5 climbing fee. 11 lighthouses total in the county.
Best month?
June-August for warm Lake Michigan swimming. September-October for fewer crowds + cherry harvest. October has the foliage but most water activities close.
