Berkshire Balloons has been flying the Farmington Valley + Litchfield Hills for 36+ years — sunrise launches from Southington, Bethlehem, and New Hartford, an hour aloft over the Farmington River and the Litchfield reservoirs (bald eagles in May). The bridesmaids book the Mayflower Inn weekend, the 5:30 AM Berkshire pickup, and a champagne landing breakfast in a Litchfield meadow. Day two is a Hopkins Vineyard tasting on Lake Waramaug, lunch at Arethusa al Tavolo, and an afternoon at the Mayflower spa. Decompression: a final morning at White Horse Country Pub before the slow drive south.
